For this week, we were all put into a group for our group projects which I am very excited about. Now that we’ve somewhat mastered how to be an individual in second life now we get to learn how to be a team. Each group is a colour and my group is blue. The people in my group are Raha Jamal, Michelle McLoughlin, Sarah Murphy, Eve O’ Callaghan and Luke McSweeney. Luckily, I already know these people however, I get to learn more about them now that we are working as a group. Michelle made a facebook group chat in order for us all to talk and to organise meetings. We were set a task to meet up and discuss “form, norm, storm and perform” and talk about how we could implement these terms into our own group project. Unfortunately, not everyone could make it to the meeting but always next time! One of the main things I noticed is that it is hard to find a time perfect for everyone but least we learn more about time management and prioritising which is going to be a huge thing in our futures. So, this first meeting would have been the forming stage where we are coming together as one and have discussed the task giving to us briefly just so that no one is overwhelmed by the work ahead and that we all have an understanding of what is expected by us. The next stage we were going to take as a group would be storm, which is where we get into the work and the roles involved in our project. It is thought that this stage of the process can be very argumentative, so I am excited to see what is ahead of us!
